ABOUT US
HELP’s journey began in 1970 when a young man named Wayne Stagg conducted his first driving lesson in the heart of Melbourne’s CBD. Displaying great potential from the outset, Wayne soon transitioned to the RACV group, where his leadership skills became evident to those around him. Eventually, Wayne served as the President of the RACV Driving Instructors Group and as Vice President of the Instructor Association.
With over 50 years of experience, Wayne owned businesses, delivered countless road law and safety lectures, appeared on various television programs, and trained numerous instructors. His unparalleled industry knowledge and expertise have now been passed down to his son, Steven, who currently runs the business. Steven’s earliest childhood memories are of sitting in the back seat of a driving school car, observing his father conduct lessons. Family dinners were often filled with detailed discussions about road law and driving techniques.
Wayne still works as a consultant for HELP Driving School, and his philosophies, work ethic, and genuine commitment to maintaining the highest standards of driver instruction continue to drive the business today.
